CPFL Energias Renov\u00e1veis, the largest generator of energy from renewable sources in Brazil, announces the official launch of 8 of the 13 projects in the Ra\u00edzes Program. This private social investment program focuses on the economic, environmental, and social development of communities surrounding the company's projects.<\/p>

The projects're aimed at improving the production and marketing of products and services generated in communities, through the financing of sustainable income-generating initiatives. The launch will take place from September 5th to 9th in the states of Cear\u00e1, Minas Gerais, and Rio Grande do Norte.<\/p>

\u201cThe Ra\u00edzes Program includes social mobilization, participatory planning, project implementation, and participatory community management, which allows for the addition of a strategic business vision, promoting significant results for the communities, and in accordance with CPFL Renov\u00e1veis' principles of value creation and sustainability in its processes,\u201d emphasizes Camila Sabella, manager of corporate sustainability and social responsibility at CPFL Renov\u00e1veis.<\/p>

The first cycle of the program (2013-2015) supported projects related to production chains, tourism, handicrafts, infrastructure, culture, sports and leisure, in the municipalities of S\u00e3o Miguel do Gostoso, Parazinho, Jo\u00e3o C\u00e2mara and Touros (Rio Grande do Norte) and Palmares do Sul (Rio Grande do Sul). In this first phase of the program, 9,188 people were indirectly benefited. For the current cycle of Ra\u00edzes (2016-2017), all projects follow these pillars: Water Security, Commitment to Future Generations and Production Chains.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
