Challenge
Elera Renováveis is one of Brazil's largest renewable energy generation companies, with a portfolio that includes sources such as wind, solar, biomass and small hydroelectric plants (SHPs). The company is part of the Brookfield Asset Management group and operates in the South, Southeast, Midwest and Northeast regions of Brazil.
As part of the company's private social investment strategy, Transforma.ai was responsible for developing and managing Elera's national corporate call for proposals, with a focus on democratising access to resources for organisations throughout Brazil.
Solution
Development and management of socio-environmental guidelines for the selection and evaluation of projects using the Balanced Scorecard methodology. To monitor the performance of the actions supported, a matrix of indicators (KPIs) was developed to measure results and impact in the territory.
The processes followed were:
1- Development of guidelines, criteria, and instructions for the call for proposals, and dissemination through various Elera channels.
2- Pre-selection of registered projects through two qualitative and quantitative questionnaires
3- Selection via interviews with those responsible for each project to ascertain feasibility and commitment
4- Final selection by a committee with the company.
